Over the past years other job opportunities have come along in other parts of the country, but I have always had to ask myself--why would I want to work somewhere else and then drive hundreds of miles on my days off to do the things I enjoy? When I leave work toinght, I have to decide if I'll go grouse hunting or sit in my deer stand for a couple of hours. Tomorrow the decision is duck hunting or trolling on Lake Superior. Oh, the pressure!
We raised two great kids who were educated in the Hurley schools, and we now have time to enjoy even more of what the area has to offer--Lake Superior, thousands of acres of public forest, waterfalls, great people, local culture and interesting characters.
